Pitzer College Art Galleries Presents 2022 Senior Thesis Exhibition: Shift + Ground

Pitzer College Art Galleries presents the work of Pitzer seniors Jack Contreras ’22, Lily Fillwalk ’22, Claire Manning ’22, Olivia Meehan ’22, Max Otake ’22, Julia Duran Stewart ’22, and Zoe Storz ’22 in the 2022 Senior Thesis Exhibition: Shift + Ground. The exhibition will be in Pitzer College’s Nichols Gallery, Lenzner Family Art Gallery, Scott Hall, and the Academic Quad from April 28 to May 14. An in-person opening reception to celebrate the exhibition will take place on Thursday, April 28, at 5:30 p.m., at the Grove House.

Marisa Cruz Branco ’22 Receives Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship at LACMA

Marisa Cruz Branco ’22 is one of 22 college students nationwide who have been selected to participate in The Andrew W. Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship Program. The fellowship provides specialized training to students from historically underrepresented groups in the curatorial field and supports the goal of promoting inclusive, pluralistic museums. As a Mellon fellow, Branco will gain hands-on curatorial experience at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

With these awards, they will study abroad from Japan to Southern Africa, travel to El Salvador to provide maternal health in remote communities, work to create a more inclusive community and to teach in countries across the globe.
