Claremont, Calif. (January 31, 2023)—The Pomona-Pitzer men’s swim and dive team closed out their regular season home meets with a 202-92 victory over the Caltech Beavers. Pitzer’s Ben Willett ’23 highlighted the Sagehens’ efforts with program records in both the 1m and 3m dives. The Sagehens will be back in action on Saturday, February 4, when they travel across the street for the CMS Invite.

Willett highlighted the Sagehens’ performance in the 1m dive, setting a new program record in the 6-dive competition with 385.15 points to take first place on the day. Willett also shone in the 3m dive, setting another program record with 383.85 points to take first. These triumphs earned Willett a SCIAC Athlete of the Week.

This is not Willett’s first time setting a program record in swim and dive. In the La Verne Winter Invitational in November, Willett set a program record for the 1m dive with 281.55 points and also won the 3m with a score of 296.65 points.
