Claremont, Calif. (November 30, 2012) — Pitzer College alumnus Todd Eachus ’84 has been named the chief external affairs officer of Opportunity Finance Network (OFN), a national network of community development financial institutions that provide financial resources to people in low-income communities to help them join the economic mainstream.
As OFN’s chief external affairs officer, Eachus is responsible for communications between OFN and its members, investors, funders, as well as the media, policy makers and opinion shapers. A member of the CEO’s leadership team, Eachus manages three executive vice presidents who oversee policy, strategic communications and development.
Eachus served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1996 through 2010. As a majority leader in the state legislature, he directed communications, policy, administration and budget negotiations on behalf of the Democratic Caucus. After leaving public service, Eachus worked as a government affairs consultant specializing in strategic partnerships, electronic marketing and communications.
Mark Pinsky, OFN president and CEO, said Eachus brings not only exceptional experience to his new position, but a strong personal commitment to “helping solve the needs of low-wealth and low-income individuals and families.”
Eachus majored in political studies at Pitzer.
