Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley Participating in 89.3 KPCC Panel on the Future of Higher Education

Claremont, Calif. (January 9, 2012) — Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley will join the chancellor of UCLA, the president of USC and the chancellor of the California Community Colleges this week to discuss the future of higher education. The panel discussion, “Higher Education—What Is Its Future?,” is being presented by 89.3 KPCC and will be hosted by Larry Mantle of KPCC’s public affairs show AirTalk.

President Skandera Trombley, UCLA Chancellor Gene Block, USC President C.L. Max Nikias and California Community Colleges Chancellor Jack Scott will discuss issues such as rising tuition costs, student activism and budget cuts.

The discussion will take place from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11 at the Crawford Family Forum in Pasadena and will air on AirTalk this Thursday, January 12 from 11 a.m. to noon.
