Pitzer College President to Speak at 2011 Talloires Network Global Leaders Conference In Spain

Claremont, Calif. (January 27, 2011) — Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley will speak at the 2011 Tallories Network Global Leaders Conference held on June 14-16 in Madrid, Spain. Trombley will discuss Pitzer College as a socially responsible institution.

The Tallories Network is a gathering of higher education leaders from its 190 members in 58 countries. In partnership with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Banco Santander and the Pearson Foundation, the leaders will be engaged in a dynamic discussion about the future of civic engagement, community outreach and social responsibility in higher education. This year’s gathering, themed “Building the Engaged University, Moving Beyond the Ivory Tower” will also celebrate the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Network in Talloires, France in 2005.
