Pitzer College Alumnus Max Brooks ’94 Authors New York Times Best Sellers

Claremont, Calif. (January 19, 2011) — Pitzer College alumnus Max Brooks ’94 is the author of two bestsellers: The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead (2003, Three Rivers Press) and World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War (2006, Crown.)

The Zombie Survival Guide was #12 in the December 2010 New York Times Paperback Best Seller list for a total of 21 weeks. World War Z appeared on the New York Times Hardcover Best Sellers list for four weeks, peaking at number nine. The book is currently in pre-productions to be adapted by Paramount Pictures into a feature film starring Brad Pitt.

Brooks majored in history at Pitzer College.
