Pitzer College Alumna Honorable Mablean Ephriam to Keynote for NAACP Annual Gala

Claremont, Calif. (December 15, 2010) — The Honorable Mablean Ephriam ’71 will give the keynote address at The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People ‘s 41st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Fund Banquet Centennial Gala. The event will be held at 7 pm on January 14, 2011.

Ephriam served as judge on television’s “Divorce Court” from 1999 to 2007 and authored the book, Life Lessons: Tools for Weekly Living. She founded The Honoring Unsung Fathers award program and The Mablean Ephriasm Foundation, a nonprofit working to build stronger families, educate minds, increase economic power among disadvantaged and lower economic persons and thus create better communities. She majored in political science at Pitzer College.
