Pitzer College to Host Mountainfilm on Tour

Claremont, Calif. (September 23, 2010) โ€” Mountainfilm on Tour arrives at Pitzer College for a two day event beginning October 2 to October 3, 2010. The event will showcase five films, including the 2010 Oscar winning for Best Live Action Short, Kavi and special guest speakers including activist Tim DeChristophe and Tom Shadyac, director of blockbusters hits Ace Ventura, The Nutty Professor and Bruce Almighty.

Saturday October 2

4 โ€“ 6 pm: Kavi screening with speakers David Halbrook, Ben Skinner and Bill Nathan following
6-7pm: Dinner in McConnell Dining Hall
7-9:30pm: I AM screening with speaker Tom Shadyac

Sunday, October 3

10:30-11:30am: “Caffeine Beat” conversation with Tom Shadyac, Bill Nathan, Ben Skinner at the Grove House
1-3pm: Kings North Six screening and Bidder 70 sneak peak with speaker and activist Tim DeChristopher
3-4pm: Ice cream social at George C.S. Benson Atrium
4-6pm: Bag It screening with speaker Jeb Berrier

Limited free tickets are available for Pitzer students, faculty and staff. General public seating is available on a first-come, first serve bases on the day of the event.
