Claremont, Calif. (September 7, 2010) — USA Rugby named the Claremont men’s rugby football team in its 2011 collegiate competition, where 31 teams will compete in the newly established Division I Premier, slated as a tier above Division I.
The teams that have joined in the four conferences represent the very best in college rugby. Fourteen of the sixteen team reached the Collegiate Sweet 16 in 2010.
The Claremont Dragons are the 2010 Division II National Champions. The team is comprised of students, alumni and professors from the Claremont Colleges.
