Sagehen Men’s Water Polo Team Is Top Pick for 2010-11 Season Ranking

Claremont, Calif. (August 18, 2010) – The Collegiate Water Polo Association ranked the Sagehen Men’s Water Polo team #1 in its preseason Men’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.

The Sagehens picked up 97 points to outdistance the University of Redlands (2nd, 92 points), Whittier College (3rd, 89 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (Tied 4th, 84 points) and Johns Hopkins University (Tied 4th, 84 points.)

A panel of coaches and administrators from around the country vote during the preseason and each week of the season based on the cumulative results of each team, the polls are released on Wednesday during the season until the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
