Sagehen Women’s Water Polo Wins Third Consecutive SCIAC Championship and Most Valuable Player

Claremont, Calif. (May 5, 2010)—Pitzer College congratulates Tamara Perea ’11 and the entire women’s water polo team for the third consecutive Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship. Perea was also named Most Valuable Player.

The Sagehens defeated California Institute of Technology, Claremont-McKenna-Scripps and Occidental College, with an over all 9-1 SCIAC win/loss record, to secure the championship.

On May 14, they will head to NCAA Championships tournament at San Diego State University.
