Pitzer College Seniors Win Japan Exchange and Teaching Program Awards

Claremont, Calif. (April 27, 2010) — Pitzer College congratulates 2010 Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) awardees, Taylor Aston-Nielsen ’10, Misa Kabashima ’10 and Sean Sullivan ’10.

Aston-Nielsen, a double major in economics and political studies, studied abroad in Ecuador and England.

Kabashima, a double major in French and history, studied abroad in France and Thailand. She was also awarded a 2010 Fulbright Fellowship to South Korea.

Sullivan, a double major in political studies and international/intercultural studies, studied abroad in Nepal and China. He was also awarded a 2010 Fulbright Fellowship to South Korea.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching Program aims to improve foreign language education in Japan and to encourage international exchange by fostering ties between Japanese youth and foreign youth.
