Pitzer College Alumnus to Perform National Anthem at San Francisco Giants Opening Day

Claremont, Calif. (April 2, 2010) – San Francisco singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson ’95 will perform the National Anthem during San Francisco Giants opening day ceremonies on Friday, April 9 at 1:35 pm.

Nathanson, whose work is a blend of folk and rock music, released his first album, Please, during his junior year at Pitzer. His sixth album, Some Mad Hope, produced hits singles such as “Come on Get Higher” and “All We Are” featured on television shows such as NCISOne Tree HillPrivate Practice and Vampire Diaries. He has performed on The Late Show with David LettermanLate Night with Conan O’Brien and Ellen.

On opening day, the Giants will celebrate the 10th anniversary of AT&T Park by taking on the Atlanta Braves.
