Health & Safety

At this time, all Pitzer students are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon arriving on campus, including an initial booster dose, unless an exemption for medical or religious reasons has been approved. For incoming first-year students, all exemption requests should be received by May 6, 2023. For medical exemptions, please contact Student Health Services; for religious exemptions, please contact the Office of Admission [email protected] so we can direct you to the respective offices.

Deferring Entrance

  • Gap years are granted to students pursuing non-academic goals.
    • Admitted students may be considered for a deferral of one year for enrollment in the Fall of 2024.
  • Deferrals are considered on a case-by-case basis by the Pitzer admission staff.
  • If you would like to request a gap year: please submit a Gap Year Request form explaining your gap year plans request for deferral.
  • Students may not enroll at another institution during their deferral year, and will not receive credit at Pitzer for any courses taken in that time.
  • The deadline for submitting deferral requests is May 10th. Additional questions or concerns may be directed to the Pitzer admissions staff at [email protected].

Campus Visits

We are glad to be offering campus visits throughout the spring! You are welcome to join us on campus for student-led tours and information sessions Monday through Friday, with a handful of Saturday visits offered throughout the spring. You are also welcome to join us for a handful of virtual visit opportunities available each week. Please note that both virtual and on-campus visits will pause during our student’s final exam week.
