With the win, the Sagehens ended the regular season with a 21–10 overall record and 12–0 in SCIAC play. Pomona-Pitzer has dominated the SCIAC regular season once again and finished the year unbeaten at 12–0. The Sagehens haven’t lost a regular season SCIAC contest since March 25, 2017. Since then, the Sagehens have won 74-straight regular season SCIAC games and earned their fifth-straight SCIAC Regular Season Championship.
The Sagehens were led by Pitzer’s Lulu Gaither ’25, who had a game-high four goals in the win. Kaylee Stigar PO’25 also netted a hat-trick with three goals while Abigail Wiesenthal PO’24 had two and Madison Lewis PO’24, Brienz Lang PO’26, and Gabby Lewis PO’26 had one. Pomona-Pitzer defeated the Athenas as Gaither led the way with a hat-trick inside the fourth quarter alone with three goals. The Lewis family joined Gaither on the scoresheet in the fourth as Pomona-Pitzer capped off their SCIAC Championship in style with a win over CMS at home to end the regular season.
Up Next: The Sagehens will enter the SCIAC Postseason Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will host the SCIAC Semifinal on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m.
