President Melvin L. Oliver Master of Ceremonies for Aspen Institute Conference “All Land is not Creating Equal: Unleashing Family and Community Wealth through Land Ownership” on November 18

Claremont, Calif. (November 16, 2020) Pitzer College President Melvin L. Oliver, a noted expert on racial inequality and co-author of Black Wealth/White Wealth: A New Perspective on Racial Inequality, will be the master of ceremonies of an upcoming special event hosted by the Aspen Institute in honor of the Center’s 15th anniversary.

On Wednesday, November 18, President Oliver will moderate the virtual event “All Land is not Creating Equal: Unleashing Family and Community Wealth through Land Ownership” which is focused on “heirs’ property” a fascinating and troubling topic that is often called “the worst problem you never heard of.” The event begins at 10 a.m. PST.
