For the safety of our entire community, please review and adhere to the following local, state, and federal recommendations and guidelines regarding travel: Recommendations Prior to and During Travel: You are encouraged to monitor the CDC’s Travel Recommendations by Destination for international travel advisory risk assessment alert updates and the International Travel During COVID-19 guidance. If you choose to travel within the United States or outside of our local surrounding Los Angeles County, please monitor the CDC’s Domestic Travel, Travel Planner and COVID-19 Data Tracker sites to access information about COVID-19 risk assessment levels, travel restrictions, guidance and resources at your destination. For the safety of our entire community, please review and adhere to the following local, state, and federal recommendations and guidelines regarding travel: Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is required on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States and while indoors at U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations. Travelers are not required to wear a mask in outdoor areas of a conveyance (like on open deck areas of a ferry or the uncovered top deck of a bus). In areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases, consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings and when participating in activities in which close contact with others who are not fully vaccinated is possible. Immediately Following Travel: Employees should follow all state and local recommendations or requirements after travel. In addition, it is recommended that employees limit in-person interactions, particularly on-campus interactions, immediately following travel. After travel:Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms during or after your trip.All symptomatic employees should:Be evaluated by a medical professional and/or tested as soon as they develop symptoms and comply with medical recommendations to quarantine or isolate.Follow Pitzer’s COVID-19 Symptoms and Support Protocols regarding testing and return to work; this information can be found here. Additional Considerations for International Travel: Per CDC guidance, before leaving your international destination and prior to your arrival in the United States:All air passengers coming to the United States, including U.S. citizens and fully vaccinated people, are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 3 days before travel or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 3 months before they board a flight to the United States.After travel:Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after travel.Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms.Follow all state and local recommendations or requirements after travel.Limit in-person interactions upon return to campus until a negative COVID-19 test taken at least three days after arrival back to the U.S result has been received Testing and other Resources: Regardless of whether employees travel domestically or internationally it is recommended they get tested before returning to campus. Testing appointments can be made through Healthy Pitzer.
