CHLT 85 & Faculty In Residence invite you to a book talk with Oriel María Siu. From Honduras, Dr. Siu holds a master’s in Latin American Literatures from UC Berkeley and a doctoral degree in Cultural Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Learn about Pitzer-approved programs and exchanges. Attendance at one session is required prior to meeting with a study abroad adviser. Sessions are open to anyone, but sessions this semester are especially for students who want to apply to study abroad next Fall 2021 or Spring 2022.

The goal is to teach simple practices to help your grapple with hard situations such as illness, natural disasters, chronic stress, violence, imprisonment, inequities, death, immigration policies, and more. Open to all; no experience necessary.

This spring, the programming for the Munroe Center for Social Inquiry is a podcast series. “The Careful Photograph” features contemporary photographers of color who are pushing the medium and posing important questions around race and identity. Each episode starts with a visual description of a single photograph by the artist, and then explores how the work in question works against expected tropes.
