Whether you are a resume expert looking to tailor your resume to a specific role or industry or you are not sure where to start this hybrid workshop is for you. This space includes two separate concurrent workshops on resumes based on what your preference and interests are.

Overland Summers Info Session

Meet with a representative from Overland Summers. Many Pitzer alumni have worked at Overland Summers. Overland hosts 4th-12th grade students for 32 itineraries, 8 countries, and 3 continents. As their website states, leading at Overland isn’t really about where you go, and in some important ways, it’s not really about what you do. Instead, leading for Overland is about the people who surround you — the dynamic leaders you work with and the great kids you lead — and the many challenges, both big and small, that you tackle together.

Career Discovery Series: Day in The Life in the Media Industry

Come meet Sarah Penna ’06, a Senior Manager at Patreon and Co-founder of Frolic Media! Come learn about the media industry, entrepreneurship, and her career journey. Whether you want to work in media or you are still exploring different fields, this session is for you! Please feel free to bring a dinner along if you would like. Complimentary dessert will be provided.

Prior to joining Patreon Sarah co-founded Frolic Media, a company that tells female forward stories focused on love and romance. Frolic just launched a daily romance podcast with iHeart Radio and is in development on several film and tv projects. Prior to that she was the Head of Awestruck, a millennial-moms focused network and lifestyle brand launched in 2015 at AwesomenessTV. In this role, she was responsible for creating and launching the division, identifying talent to sign to the multi-channel network and collaborate on programming for various platforms (YouTube, FB and Go90).

Our first workshop of the semester! An essential career and life skill is storytelling. During this workshop we will spend some time understanding and reflecting on elements of our individual paths to create a career exploration story.
