The Public Health (PH) pillar exists to advance health equity, empower communities, and promote social justice. Through interdisciplinary coursework and hands-on experiences, students work directly with local communities to address health disparities and advocate for marginalized populations. By harnessing collective power and partnering with the community, the program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to drive systemic change and create healthier, more equitable communities.

Information + Resources

In the Spring of 2024, the CEC hosted the first annual " Public Health Fair" on campus. This event was created to bring local organizations and resources to Pitzer and the broader community. A deep consideration the CEC took in planning this health fair was to ensure that this event was accessible to all Pitzer staff members as a means to promote an equitable environment on campus. This event is now a staple in our spring programming, and open to all!

On Campus Collaborations

In collaboration with CASA Pitzer and partners, the Public Health pillar offers support for the ongoing "Cultural Organizing Train-the-Trainer" workshops hosted off campus at CASA Pitzer.
