Pitzer Shuttle Schedule 

Shuttle Hours will begin Saturday, January 17th, and end Sunday, May 17th 

  • CCA pick-up/drop off location: 1445 N College Ave, Claremont CA 91711 (in front of building B)
  • Pitzer pick-up/drop off location: 1150 Pitzer Service Road, Caremont CA, 91711, (Admissions Parking Lot)
  • Scripps College pick-up/drop off: Honnold Gate, Columbia Ave, and 11th St.

Sagehen Shuttle Route

  • First Pick-Up Point: Starts at CCA, turns left onto Foothill, right onto Claremont Blvd., and right onto 9th. The shuttle will then turn into the Admissions Parking Lot (Pitzer) and wait for approximately 2 minutes before departing.
  • Second Pick-up/Drop-off: Right on 9th, right on N. Mills Ave., left on Platt, left on Dartmouth, left on 10th St., left on Columbia. The shuttle will stop at the Honnold Gate (Scripps), and wait for approximately 2 minutes before departing the campus on 11th St.
  • Third Pick-up/Drop-off: From the Honnold Gate, the shuttle will travel north on Dartmouth, stop at CCA in front of Building B, and wait for approximately 2 minutes before departing. 

It will take approximately 30-40 minutes for the shuttle to drive one full lap with all 3 stops included. If you miss the shuttle, no worries, it will be back around to pick you up within 30-40 minutes.

Riders must provide their Student I.D.

Every Sunday the Sagehen Shuttle will take three round trips to Target. Target Runs will be within the following hours:

Sunday: 1–4 p.m.

The shuttle will continue the campus route with the addition of Target Runs during the time frames above.

Passengers exit first: When bus doors open, always let the passengers inside exit first before attempting to board. Stand to the right or left of the doors to make room for persons that are exiting.

Single seat: One seat per person. If you have a bag or other carry-ons please hold them on your lap or place them under your seat without blocking the aisle. Don’t place them in the empty seat next to you, especially if other riders are looking for a seat.

Be respectful:  Be courteous to your driver. Your safe transportation is their priority. They share in supporting your personal and academic success by granting you enhanced access to student transportation services. Thank you for helping them feel welcomed and appreciated.

Safety Regulations: Your safe transportation is a shared priority and we thank you for honoring the expectations below to assist H&L Charter in their requirement to adhere to county, state, and federal guidelines as a standard for operations:

Passengers shall: 

  1. Cooperate with all driver announcements and instructions
  2. Will not obstruct any aisles
  3. Remain seated at all times
  4. Wear seat belts
  5. Be respectful at all times

Banned Items: 

  • Shelled products (peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc)
  • Glass bottles
  • Kegs/party balls
  • Smoking/vaping of ANY product
  • Alcohol
  • Drugs/substances, or paraphernalia
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Items that are a violation of Pitzer’s Code of Student Conduct

All Pitzer students and their guests from The Claremont Colleges riding the Sagehen Shuttle are expected to comply with Pitzer’s Code of Student Conduct, published in the Pitzer Student Handbook.  

Drivers have the right to refuse service to any prospective passengers who are publicly intoxicated and exhibiting belligerent, non-cooperative, or disruptive behavior that may impact the safety of others.

If a student appears to have violated a policy on the Sagehen Shuttle, the student conduct process is an integral part of the educational mission of the university and will be implemented. Incidents involving students from sister campuses will be reported to their Dean of Students.

Students, faculty, and staff can report concerns and issues to the Student Operations Services Supervisor Bryce Sternquist (Bryce_Sternquist@pitzer.edu) or by contacting Pitzer’s on-call dean via Campus Safety at (909) 607-2000. Any rider with concerns during their shuttle ride may report concerns to the shuttle driver when it is safe to do so; please notify the shuttle driver immediately.
