Pitzer College has awarded the 2023 Benjamin Godsill ’00 and Anna Burns Student Apprenticeship Awards to students Diego Borgsdorf Fuenzalida ’24 and Jaspa Ureña ’24. The award supports in-depth curatorial apprenticeships with leading Los Angeles arts organizations LACE and Fulcrum Arts. Borgsdorf Fuenzalida will work with LACE as part of his research on object repatriation and Chilean memory institutions, while Ureña will join Fulcrum Arts, bringing their multidisciplinary practice and commitment to community empowerment. Established through a 2021 gift from alumnus Benjamin Godsill ’00 and Anna Burns, the program provides competitive, hands-on curatorial experience that supports pathways into museum careers. Applications for the Spring 2024 cycle open October 23, 2023.
