Airports

  • Ontario International Airport (ONT) is located 20 minutes from campus. Many major airlines service Ontario.
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located about one hour and 15 minutes from campus (assuming minimal traffic). Most major airlines service LAX.
  • John Wayne International Airport (Orange County) is located in Newport Beach, just off the 405 freeway, about 30 miles south of Claremont. The estimated travel time is approximately one hour.
  • Other nearby airports: Long Beach Airport (LGB), Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)

    The Claremont Metrolink Station provides easy transportation to various activity centers via Metrolink and Foothill Transit. Other Ground Transportation

    The nearest Amtrak station is located on Garey Avenue in Pomona, about three miles from campus. Service is provided daily.
     
  • Greyhound Bus Lines
    The closest Greyhound depot is located on Indian Hill Boulevard, just south of the 1-10 freeway.

CMC will be completing a comprehensive street improvement project for Claremont Boulevard, including:

  • The installation of a traffic signal and crosswalks at Ninth Street
  • Protected bike lanes
  • Underground utilities

This major construction project will necessarily result in disruptions throughout the remainder of the academic year, particularly with respect to construction noise, road closures, and adjusted traffic patterns. Some pedestrian and vehicle access to the Pitzer campus will be affected by these disruptions.

 Yes! Alumni Weekend is open to all alumni, regardless of whether you are celebrating a reunion year. We welcome alumni from all classes to join us for this exciting weekend of events and connection.

Absolutely! We’re excited to welcome families and students to Alumni Weekend. It’s a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect with the Pitzer community, and for families and students to experience the Pitzer spirit.

Early Bird registration is now open and closes on Tuesday, March 31. Regular registration will open after Early Bird registration closes on Sunday, April 12. On-site registration will be available on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.

We recommend registering early to secure your place and to ensure participation in some of our more popular events.

Dress comfortably! Many of our events take place outdoors, so we recommend wearing weather-appropriate attire, especially for tours and activities. For evening events, business casual attire is appropriate.
