Summer 2025 Residency OPEN CALL
APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 23, 2025

Overview
Pitzer College Art Galleries, in partnership with the Art Field Group at Pitzer College, are offering a summer residency for artists who lost their studio or workspace due to the Eaton Fire in Altadena, located just 30 minutes west of the Claremont Colleges. We are offering four residencies in the following disciplines: Ceramics, Photography, Sculpture, and Painting/Drawing. Alongside galleries staff, studio art faculty from the Art Field Group will provide partnership and support from their respective disciplines to the residents.
About the Residency
This 8-week summer residency provides artists with shared, discipline-specific studio space, access to institutional resources, and a stipend to help artists continue or rebuild their practice. Hosted at Pitzer College, part of the Claremont Colleges consortium, the program leverages shared facilities across Pitzer’s campus. Housing is not provided, and residents must arrange their own accommodations. There are no formal required outcomes for this residency, such as exhibitions or artist talks, allowing artists the flexibility to focus on their creative process.
