Fall 2025 Move-In Dates & Details

New Student Move-in Day on Saturday, Aug. 16 includes all First Year, Transfer & Exchange students.

 

Be sure to have your building and room number on hand! You'll need to know this upon arrival. You can find this info in your MCR Residence portal.
 

All NEW students (including those living at CCA) will check in at the East Mesa Parking Lot on the Pitzer campus and then will be directed to their Residence Hall from there.

Move in slots are assigned by last name. In order to maintain clear walk/pathways and to ensure enough carts are available we ask that you arrive during these designated timeframes:
 - 8:00 - 8:45 AM: A-F and new PP Athletes
 - 8:45 - 9:30 AM: G-L
 - 9:30 - 10:15 AM: M-R
 - 10:15 - 11:00 AM: S-Z
 

At check in we will give you your Pitzer student ID card and/or room key (NOTE: Only students can check in to receive their ID card and keys, these will not be issued to family members, friends or room/suitemates).

After check in, you will be directed to the unloading location closest to your room assignment.

Members of the Orientation and ResLife staffs will assist you with loading up provided carts to ease the move-in process!

Please be sure to move your vehicle to one of the designated parking locations after move in.

Returning Student Move-in Days on Saturday, Aug. 23 & Sunday, Aug. 24 includes all sophomore, junior & senior students.

West/East/Skandera (WES) Halls and Mead Hall Check In:

All residential students must check-in upon arriving to campus!  While there are no assigned check-in timeslots, in order to ensure a smooth process, we encourage you to arrive during ResLife Office open hours: 

Saturday, Aug. 23 from 9:00AM - 2:00AM (Sun)

Sunday, Aug. 24 from 9:00AM - 12:00AM midnight

Monday, Aug. 25 from 9:00AM - 12:00AM midnight
 

At check in we will encode your Pitzer student ID card and for Mead residents provide you with a hard-key for your suite.  

 

If you are moving in outside of ResLife Office operational hours you will need to call Campus Safety at (909) 607-2000 to key into your apartment and you can get your card encoded/pick up your key during the next time the office is open.

 

NOTE: Only students can check in for ID card encoding/keys, these will not be issued to family members, friends, or room/suitemates.

Keep in mind the following open bollard hours on the Pitzer Service Road:

Sat. Aug. 23 - 8:00am - 5:00pm  |  Sun. Aug. 24 - 9:00am - 4:00pm

If you have a parking permit for the year, please be sure to move your vehicle to one of the student parking locations as soon as you've moved in your items so you can allow others to park and unload their belongings.

Pitzer@CCA Check In:

All residential students must check-in upon arriving to campus!  Please arrive during the following timeframes to ensure a smooth check-in process:

Saturday, Aug. 23 from 9:00AM - 5:00PM 

Sunday, Aug. 24 from 9:00AM - 5:00PM 

Monday, Aug. 25 from 9:00AM - 5:00PM*

 

 

Step 1 - visit the EZ-Up outside of Building B to check-in with Pitzer ResLife Staff.  They will check you into MCR Housing, and will have a variety of free items household and toiletries items while supplies last.
*if arriving on or after Monday, Aug. 25, you will need to complete MCR Housing check-in with ResLife Staff at the ResLife Office in East Sanborn C300 during normal business hours at your earliest convenience.

 

Step 2 - visit the CCA Office in Building B to obtain the hard keys for your unit and receive welcome info from the CCA staff. 

 

If you are moving in past 5:00PM you will need to call Campus Safety at (909) 607-2000 to key into your apartment and you can pick up your keys during the next time staff is available.  The CCA Office hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00AM - 5:00PM. 

 

NOTE: Only students can check in to obtain keys, these will not be issued to family members, friends, or room/suitemates.  

A limited number of carts (all buildings) and "stairclimber" dollies (priority goes to 3rd floor residents in Bldgs. A & E!) will be available between staffed hours.  

You will not need a parking permit to park in the CCA lots during move-in weekend.  CCA Staff will send more information out about the permit process during the coming weeks.
