Winter Break Shadowing

Winter Break Shadowing Opportunities 2026 – by Industry

Career exploration during the undergraduate years is critically important for Pitzer students. The opportunity to get an “inside look” at different professions or have an immersive experience in a potential career path can be a significant driver of student success in designing and executing a post-Pitzer career plan.

About

The Winter Break Job Shadowing Program matches Pitzer undergraduates with alumni and family hosts who can give students this valuable professional experience. The program is virtual. Our job-shadowing partners can host a student virtually for as little as 2 hours to a full day or more during the first two weeks of January 2026.  By shadowing their hosts, students will obtain in-depth information about what it takes to be successful in a specific profession and what roles interest them in a specific organization. The student application deadline is Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025

Eligibility

All current students and students graduating in Winter 2025 can participate in the Winter Break Shadowing Program.

How to Apply

All Winter Break Shadowing Opportunities are posted through the Career Services Management (CSM) platform Handshake. Please log in to Handshake to view and read about each opportunity. Do not apply through Handshake! Submit your top (4) opportunities through the link located in the shadowing descriptions. You will also be required to submit a one-page resume for the Winter Break Shadowing Program.
