Honoring Our Legacy Through Action
Founders Day is a time to reflect on the vision and values that shaped Pitzer — and to bring those values to life through service. In the spirit of our founders, we invite alumni, families, students, and friends to join together in meaningful acts of service that strengthen our communities and deepen our shared commitment to the common good.
This year, we are proud to offer two volunteer opportunities that embody our mission in action:
Alumni-Hosted Service Event
Raphael House | San Francisco Hosted by Mitchell Felton '13
Join fellow alumni in San Francisco for a hands-on volunteer opportunity at Raphael House, a family homeless shelter dedicated to helping families achieve stable housing and financial independence. Volunteers will support essential programs and provide meaningful assistance to families in need.
This alumni-hosted event is a wonderful way to reconnect with classmates, make new connections, and give back together in honor of Founders Day.

On-Campus Service Event
In Partnership with the Community Engagement Center’s Promise Scholars
On campus, we are partnering with the Community Engagement Center (CEC) to host a service project that engages students from Serrano Middle School from the Ontario-Montclair School District. Activities include a campus tour, a student panel, and a demo faculty lecture.
Whether you are nearby or planning a visit, we welcome you to join us for this opportunity to serve alongside members of our campus community.

Participate Wherever You Are
Not in San Francisco or near campus? You can still take part.
We encourage alumni, families, students, and friends everywhere to honor Founders Day by participating in a service-based activity in your own community. Volunteer at a local nonprofit. Organize a small group project. Mentor a student. Support a cause that matters to you.
Service — in any form — is a powerful way to celebrate our shared values.
