Faculty Leadership

O’Rourke is in the History Field Group and Gender and Feminist Studies Field Group. As associate dean, O’Rourke’s responsibilities will focus on campus social justice initiatives, mentoring pretenured faculty, faculty professional development, and support for student research. Professor Ahmed Alwishah held this role for the past few years and is taking a much-deserved sabbatical in spring 2026.
