Pathways to engage with Pitzer & Claremont Colleges’ students – A to Z

  • Classroom Visits
    • Our office can facilitate a connection between a professor in a particular major/class and an employer. Typically, faculty receptive to these types of interactions are those teaching senior seminars or internship classes.
  • Coffee Chats & Information Sessions
    • These sessions, in-person or virtual, are an opportunity for employers and graduate/professional schools to present information about their organization as well as any job and internship opportunities they may have available for students. Scheduling can be flexible to employer/organization needs. Our office can reserve a room to use as well as Audio/Visual as needed.
  • Information Tables
    • This is an informal in-person opportunity for employers and graduate/professional schools to talk with students at a table in front of the McConnell Center Dining Hall or outside of the PIT stop campus café. Our office provides an 8ft table with two folding chairs for employers to use.
  • Interview on/off-campus
    • If you would like to interview students on/off campus, we can set up an interview schedule through Handshake for students’ you’ve selected to interview. If you choose to come to campus to interview students, we can reserve a room for you.
  • Office Hours
    • If employers/organizations would like to interview students on campus, we are able to provide office space either in our office or another location on the campus. Through Handshake, we are able to collect student resumes and any additional documentation needed prior to interviewing. These materials are compiled by our office staff and sent to you electronically so that you can select your interviewees.

Post a Job or Internship

  • Pitzer College, along with the other Claremont College Career Centers, has partnered with Handshake, our online Career Center software, to post all job and internship listings. This service allows employers to post an opportunity at Pitzer and have it shared to and viewed by students and alumni from The Claremont Colleges’ Consortium (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pomona, Scripps, Claremont Graduate University and Keck Graduate Institute).
