Opportunities

APAICS Congressional Internship 

The APAICS Congressional Internship is designed for AA & NH/PI undergraduate aged students looking to increase their experience in public policy and service. This paid, eight or ten week-long program places interns in congressional offices and provides them with the opportunity to develop their leadership and professional skills, encourages political engagement, and fosters interests in public service careers.

APAICS Congressional Fellowship 

is for applicants looking to start careers in government service. Through a nine-month placement on Capitol Hill with a congressional office or committee, fellows participate in the legislative process and get a front-row seat to our democracy in action. More importantly, APAICS fellows will develop expertise in a particular subject matter and build a professional network they will carry with them throughout their careers.

Applicants with a particular interest in the following subject areas can apply to work on the following policy areas specifically: aerospace & defense, health policy, or clean energy & innovation.

APAICS Programs Information

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote) Internship Program strives to encourage and cultivate young AAPI student leaders to explore a career in the public sector or the political arena. This internship program will also provide hands-on experience and training on how to organize and implement voter activities to increase the participation of AAPIs in the electoral process.

APIAVote is looking for college-aged undergraduate students, recent graduates or high school students who can demonstrate that they seek to gain hands-on experience in grassroots community development within a national organization.

LEAP Emerge: Summer Internship Program is an eight-week paid summer internship program designed to empower rising young leaders by providing college students with practical leadership skills and the opportunity to immerse themselves’ in Southern California’s API community.

LEAP Emerge Application

The Seeding Change National Fellowship for Asian American Organizing and Civic Engagement is an intensive summer volunteer program that develops the skills, leadership, and commitment of young people to organize in our communities for racial, economic, and gender justice. The program combines substantial investment in political development and organizing training through placement at host sites with intentional community-building, personal reflection and community-centered leadership development.

Seeding Change Fellowship Application

Summer Associate Program 

The Greenlining Institute offers an intensive 10-week training program for college students and early-career leaders who want to gain real-world policy experience and who want to invest in their professional growth.  Summer Associates learn about issues impacting California and the nation through first hand-experience and training.

Fellowship Program

The Fellowship is an 11-month professional development program for emerging social justice leaders taking the lead on race equity work, and advocating for change on a systemic level. Fellows are assigned to specific policy teams and hone their expertise by working with Greenlining staff on critical issues impacting our communities.
