Standing with Nepal: Community Update and Program Status

Nepal has been part of Pitzer for over 50 years. Not simply a study abroad destination, Nepal is a place where generations of our students have been welcomed into communities, formed lasting relationships, and were forever impacted.

Our hearts are with the people affected by the devastating flooding along the Nepal–China border and with the families facing loss and uncertainty.

The Pitzer Program base in the Kathmandu Valley has not been directly affected by the flooding. Our students and the program team currently in Nepal are safe, and the program continues to operate.

We remain connected to our colleagues and friends in Nepal and are thinking of all those whose communities have been impacted. We plan to update our community as additional information becomes available.
