2025 Commencement Participation Policy
Dean Omoto's notice regarding the FEC approved Commencement Policy for Spring 2025
Dear Colleagues:
I write to alert you to the 2025 commencement participation policy that FEC approved earlier this semester. Students who may qualify to participate in commencement under this 2025 policy will be notified by the Registrar’s Office and with follow up communications scheduled to be sent early spring semester. Our Catalog policy on commencement can be found here, and the approved policy, for 2025 only, is provided below. FEC’s expectation is that after the 2025 commencement, we will return to our FHB policy. To be clear too, students can participate in one commencement ceremony only, and will only receive their diplomas after successfully completing all of their requirements.
For the May 2025 commencement ceremony, students who are expected to graduate the following summer or fall, are within 2 credits of fully completing all College and major(s) graduation requirements by the end of spring semester 2025, and are enrolled full-time in spring semester 2025, are permitted to “walk” in the commencement ceremony without petition, provided they remain in good financial, conduct, and academic standing during the spring semester.
