Get Involved at Pitzer

Pitzer College has plentiful opportunities to get involved in sustainability efforts and initiatives across campus.

Pitzer EcoReps is a student-led sustainability group dedicated to bridging the gap for students eager to engage in environmental initiatives at a college known for its top-tier environmental programs.

EcoReps work in partnership with Pitzer’s Sustainability Committee to implement projects that reduce the campus carbon footprint while also fostering community engagement through events and collaborations with other environmental organizations. They also oversee ReRoom, an annual item collection and donation program that gives new life to items that would otherwise be discarded, providing sustainable resources for incoming students each fall.

The Committee on Sustainability is the portion of the Pitzer Student Senate charged with working in conjunction with relevant campus stakeholders to advocate for initiatives and policies that promote reduced resource consumption and environmental sustainability at Pitzer College and the Claremont Colleges.

The Committee also hears proposals for projects from students, faculty, and staff, and is responsible for communicating with sustainability staff and stakeholders across the Claremont Colleges.

The goal of the club is to bring people physically into the garden space through events, workshops, art, or whatever else the community is interested in.

No garden experience is necessary, just bring your creativity and passion to help fuel our food forest! The garden is fully student-run, providing all fruits, vegetables, and eggs to the Grove House Kitchen.

If you are interested in joining the club, hosting an event, starting a project with us or maintaining your own garden bed please reach out!
