2025-2026 Art Gallery Fellows

The Fellows of Pitzer College Art Galleries are a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of Pitzer students who work alongside Galleries’ staff in a mentorship model to assist in imagining, planning and organizing student-centered campus-wide events that engage the Pitzer and 5C communities and reflect the Galleries’ mission to address contemporary issues, explore diverse perspectives, and challenge the boundaries of visual art.
2025-2026 Fellows
![]() | Paige Baird ’26 is a prospective Studio Art Major with a passion for Gender and Feminist Studies. She is interested in exploring how the curatorial process can illuminate intersectional identities. As a summer intern at Franklin Parrasch Gallery in New York, Paige gained valuable experience working closely with artists and developing an understanding of gallery operations. Raised in Los Angeles, she attended high school in Connecticut and is excited to dive deeper into the work of the Pitzer College Art Galleries. Paige will provide mentorship and support to the new cohort of Fellows in the fall semester. |
![]() | Evie Burrows White '26 is a Critical Art Theory and English major and French minor who is inspired by community art spaces that foster fun and creativity. As a Caretaker for the Grove House, she is excited to work with Pitzer College Art Galleries to bring art programming to more student-loved spaces like the Grove House. While she has no clue where her career will take her, Evie is interested in pursuing curatorial studies and contemporary art theory. In the studio, she loves exploring painting and ceramic sculpture and making silly cartoons of her friends. Evie will provide mentorship and support to the new cohort of Fellows in the fall semester. |
![]() | Nikai Mackie ’26 was born and raised in Seattle and is a combined Africana and Media Studies major with a concentration in Black and feminist visual and sonic art. As a DJ on campus, she curates safe, joyful, and affirming spaces for BIPOC and marginalized communities to celebrate freely. Nikai’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in social justice, and she sees art as a powerful medium for transformation, healing, and resistance. Her passion lies in reimagining and redesigning art spaces to be more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the emotional and political realities of underrepresented communities. |
![]() | Ruby Park ’27 is a Critical Art Theory major and prospective Media Studies minor from Los Angeles. She is an artist working primarily in oil paint and photography. Ruby is passionate about making art spaces accessible and engaging for all. She is to connect with non-art students at Pitzer, breaking down the perception of the art world and museums as exclusive or pretentious, and instead foster inclusive spaces for all people both on campus and in her future career. |
![]() | Pippa Solmssen ’26 is a Studio Art major with a minor in Media Studies. She is interested in curation, exploring how art can be intertwined with the environment and natural materials, and transforming traditional gallery spaces into engaging, immersive experiences that draw viewers in. As a summer intern at The North Water Gallery in Massachusetts, Pippa gained experience with the operations of a small gallery, including interacting with customers, storing and organizing artwork, managing inventory, and installing exhibitions. In the studio, she is currently focused on photography and naturally dyed textiles. Raised in San Francisco, Pippa is eager to keep expanding her creative practice and curatorial vision. |
