What We Do

Institutional Research

The Office of Institutional Research & Assessment at Pitzer College functions to provide reliable information and analyses in support of planning, decision-making, and policy formation, to coordinate mandatory and voluntary reporting of institutional data to internal and external constituencies, and to assist in the development and implementation of a plan for assessing student learning outcomes.

This office adheres to the Code of Ethics by the Association for Institutional Research.

Assessment

The Office of Academic Assessment at Pitzer College provides ongoing support for all academic and co-curricular programs in the development of assessment plans, implementation of methodologies, and analysis of assessment data. With emphasis on the alignment of methodologies to strategic planning and program evaluation, the Office of Academic Assessment is a hub for all things assessment at Pitzer College.

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

What is the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)?
NSSE is an annual online survey that collects information about first-year and senior students’ participation in programs and activities that Pitzer provides for students’ learning and personal development.

Who participates in NSSE?
All first-years and seniors are invited to participate in NSSE Survey.
A customized link will be emailed to each student who is invited to participate.
