WASC Accreditation Information

Pitzer College has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). In 2019 the college completed its last reaccreditation with a reaffirmation period of eight years, highlighting Pitzer's committment to education effectiveness and our core objectives.

At Pitzer, we conduct regular assessment of our Educational Objectives. We assess at least one Educational Objective annually and use the information to drive institutional change. Some examples are:

• Both Social Responsibility and IIE were assessed, and as a result, a task force was created to examine the Educational Objective, refine its structure, and establish clear SLOs.
• Complete WASC Accreditation Requirements and Reviews.
