What is Family Weekend?
Family Weekend is an annual event organized by Pitzer to welcome veterans and new families, which allows families to visit their college students, experience campus life, engage with other families, and meet the faculty and alumni in various activities.
Where is Family Weekend held?
The majority of Family Weekend events are held on Pitzer’s campus however we also organize activities at other Claremont Colleges. Here is an interactive map of the Claremont Colleges.
I am the parent of a Pitzer sophomore, junior, or senior and have attended Family Weekend before. Is there something new for me?
Absolutely! All parents are sure to find unique faculty talks and panel discussions. Plus, Pitzer students change every year they’re here. Family Weekend is a great chance to meet your student’s new favorite professor or learn about programs that have sparked a new interest.
Can siblings or other family members attend Family Weekend?
Yes! Family Weekend is not limited to parents only. It is open to other family members, such as siblings, grandparents, and extended family. Some activities may have age restrictions, so check the event details for verification.
