Madison Quan ’22 Named D3Hoops.com First Team All-West in Basketball

Claremont, Calif. (March 14, 2023)—Madison Quan ’22 was named to the D3Hoops.com First Team All-West Region team as announced by D3hoops.com. D3Hoops.com is the online home of all news and updates on men’s and women’s NCAA Division III college basketball.

A recent Pitzer alum and a current Claremont Graduate University student, Quan played this season in women’s basketball as a Sagehen after missing one year to Covid as an undergraduate. 

Quan continues to add to her list of accomplishments as a Sagehen after becoming the first Sagehen to earn First Team All-West honors in over 25 years. Quan became the first Sagehen to earn SCIAC Player of the Year honors in program history earlier this season and ended her career sixth in all-time points with 1313, the all-time leader in three-pointers with 164, fifth in career assists with 359, and third in career steals with 285. Quan also broke the single-game points record with 41 in the Sagehens’ win against No. 23 La Verne and set the single-game steals record with 10 against Cal Lutheran.

She ended her final season as a Sagehen averaging 19 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 5.1 apg, and 4.1 stl/g. Quan had 11 games of 20+ points, two games of 30+, and one game of 40+.
