Meet Grace Castillo

Grace Castillo is a native Angelino born in the heart of East Los Angeles. As a first-generation college student, she takes pride in holistically serving students, and creating support structures encompassing diversity, access, and student wellbeing. Grace’s experience includes various roles in Student Affairs at Chapman University and the California State University system including most recently serving as the AVP of Student Health and Equity Programs at CSULA where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She also holds a Master of Science in Counseling from CSUF and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from USC. Her research includes the first-year experiences of foster youth and the correlation between engagement, retention, and academic success.
