Professor Ma’s video work was covered extensively in a 2012 article titled, “Tongue Twisters: The Travelogue Videos of Ming-Yuen S. Ma,” which appeared in the Camera Obscura, an academic journal on feminism, culture and media studies (vol. 27, no. 1). A still from Professor Ma’s video, Slanted Vision, was featured on the journal cover.

Co-sponsored by Intercollegiate Media Studies (IMS) and Scripps Humanities Institute. Consists of “Narrowcast: Reframing Global Video 1986/2008,” a traveling exhibition; “Resolution 3 Symposium,” a three-day symposium; a Pitzer gallery walk, a conversation with exhibition artist Mark Boulos at LACE and a screening of “Video Cocktail” at the 2009 College Arts Association National Conference.
