The Pitzer College senior art majors of 2025–26 invite you to this year’s thesis exhibition, Two Birds in the Bush, showcasing the work of 11 student artists. The creative freedom in completing a senior art thesis manifests differently for each individual, yet emerges as a single song.
The idiom "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" is ever-poignant in times of uncertainty. Bush-dwelling birds hold the potential for innovative transformation and represent the possibilities of unrealized futures. While the original idiom frames the known as reliable and the unknown as dangerous, this exhibition views the unconventional as transcendent.
