Nurse Unseen centers the stories of Filipino nurses, their families and their disproportionate burden of COVID-19 incidence, death, and grief during the pandemic.
The Nurse Unseen film contextualizes historical and structural factors (e.g., colonialism, capitalism, racism, sexism) that shape the experience of Filipino healthcare workers. The film highlights stories from nurses, family members, labor organizers, and insights from interdisciplinary scholars, including Pomona College alumna and historian Catherine Ceniza Choy.
Join students, staff, faculty, and community members witness the complexity and beauty of Filipinx American narratives, collectively grieve loss through activities facilitated by Solstice Theater IE, and imagine possibilities for health justice.
