Organized in collaboration with the Institute for Central American Development Studies (ICADS), the Costa Rica Summer Health Program provides a unique opportunity for students to explore health care in Costa Rica while developing their Spanish and gaining an understanding of the life and culture of the region.

Students begin with a spring semester half-credit seminar, then spend an intensive six weeks on a two-course credit program in San Jose, Costa Rica. Students study Spanish, live with a Costa Rican family, and participate in a course on health and health care in Costa Rica, which includes a health-related internship.

Interested students can attend one of the two program-specific information sessions on October 10 at 12:30-1:15pm & 4:30-5:15pm Fletcher Jones Language and Cultures Resource Center
