Pitzer's First Led Hackathon
Connect Entrepreneurship Challenge is a beginner-friendly hackathon co-hosted by Pitzer Connect, Claremont Women in Entrepreneurship, and Womxn of Color Collective (WCC).
Participants will work in teams of 1 to 3 to use the coding tool Lovable or design tools like Canva or Figma to build a product, feature, or tool in just 3 hours. Projects will be judged on usability, creativity, design, and overall execution by Computer Science Professor Lucas Bang, Robotics Professor Trung (Average) V. Phan, and Y Combinator-backed student Alspencer Omondi.
No previous coding experience is required, and students may sign up with a team or individually to be matched on site.
The event will include free catered lunch, snacks, Clementine’s ice cream for all participants, workshops and guidance throughout the competition, and cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100 for the top three teams.
Questions can be directed to pitzerconnect@gmail.com or through a DM on Instagram to @PitzerConnect.
This event is open to the Claremont Colleges community.
