Meet Alayna Session-Goins
Alayna has worked at Pitzer since the summer of 2011, first serving as a Residence Hall Director, before moving on to run the New Student Orientation program, working with student programmers on creating a vibrant campus life, and eventually leading the Office of Campus Life team, which included the Grove House, Gold Student Health & Wellness Center, and supporting Student Senate and its student organizations. Before arriving at Pitzer, Alayna worked in Residence Life at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon for three years and in Residence Life and Student Activities at Azusa Pacific University for three years, where she also earned her Master of Education in College Student Affairs and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In her daily work, Alayna aspires to be of service to others and provide care for the students and staff around her; engage in the ongoing learning, challenge, and growth process; and live a life of civility, inclusivity, and appreciation for the diversity of the students, staff, faculty, and community partners with whom she works. When not at Pitzer, Alayna enjoys watching sports and traveling with her wife, cheering her kids on in their busy extracurricular schedules, and playing with her three dogs.
