Claremont, Calif. (January 31, 2011) — Pitzer Art Galleries Director Ciara Ennis will juror the 2011 Lorser Feitelson & Helen Lundeberg Feitelson Arts Fellowship Award along with Todd Gray, professor of art at California State University Long Beach and Carol A. Stakenas, executive director of Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE).
The Feitelson Arts Fellowship award is granted to a Los Angeles-based artist who works in painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, installation and/or a new genre. The 2011 Feitelson Fellowship winner will receive an award of $5,000 and will be given a solo exhibition in conjunction with COLA 2011 at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.
Ennis has served as the curator/director at Pitzer Art Galleries since 2007. She previously worked as the curator of exhibitions at University California Riverside /California Museum of Photography, project director of Public Offerings, assistant curator at San Monica Museum of Art and project coordinator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. She received her MA in Visual Arts Administration Curating and Commissioning Contemporary Art from Royal College of Art in London.
