CEC Faculty Support

The CEA (Course Enhancement Awards) is available at the beginning of each semester to all faculty teaching an SRX course or non SRX that has a community engagement component. This award for $500 help with materials, guest speakers, event, and transportation needs.

Whether you are teaching a Social Responsibility Praxis (SRX) course or a course with a community engagement component, finding the right community partnership can feel challenging! We have a list of wonderful community partners that would be happy to collaborate with you and your students. The Community Engagement Faculty Network (CEFN) is an opportunity for faculty to engage with their colleagues and find ways of supporting one another in their community engagement efforts.

If you are teaching an SRX course, a course with a community engagement component or if any of your students are volunteering within the community outside of class, the CEC has resources available to alleviate the financial burdens that may occur! We've allocated funding to support community-based programming and initiatives including: program materials, honorarium, co-sponsorship, and translation related services.

Translation & Interpretation Services provides dedicated funding and support available to all community members (students, staff, faculty and community partners).
