Eligibility
Students must be in good standing at Pitzer College. ISEP requires students to have a 2.75 or higher GPA. Students must have junior or senior status at the time of participation.
Preparation
At least one Asian area studies course in history, politics, literature, religious studies, or international relations is strongly recommended. Additional recommended preparation: Language, Culture and Society; Intercultural Communications; Introduction to International/ Intercultural Studies; Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology
Application
Students must first apply through Pitzer’s Office of Study Abroad and International Programs. If accepted by Pitzer, students will complete the ISEP Exchange application. If accepted by ISEP, students will then complete the University application.

Fall Semester: Early September to mid-December
Spring Semester: Early March to mid-June
Required Courses
Participants are required to take a full course load equivalent to four Pitzer course credits including a Korean language course and one course with content on Korean history, politics, literature or culture. In addition, students take the Pitzer course MLLC110 Intercultural Learning: Portfolio Writing via Sakai.
Intensive Language
A Korean language class is required of Pitzer students.

Course Options
Some of Ewha’s strongest fields include design technology, information Technology, international studies, Korean studies, North Korean studies,and Asian studies. Many of these courses are offered in English.

Credit Possible
Students must take the equivalent of a full course load at the university (15 to 16 credits) equivalent to four Pitzer course credits. Credit amounts vary for each class so students may be enrolled in anywhere from 4 to 6 classes. In addition, students will earn 0.5 Pitzer course credits for the writing course via Sakai. (See above under Required Courses.)
Housing and Board Options
Students are housed in double-occupancy rooms on campus depending on room availability. Students receive either a cafeteria plan for 19 meals per week or a stipend to purchase meals.
