Eligibility
Students must be in good academic standing at Pitzer College and have a minimum GPA of 2.75. Preference will be given to juniors and first semester seniors but sophomores are eligible if space is available.
Preparation
At least one area studies course on Southeast Asian history, politics, literature, religious studies, or international relations is required. Additional recommended preparation: Language, Culture and Society; Intercultural Communications; Introduction to International/ Intercultural Studies; Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology

Required Courses
Participants are expected to take one course while abroad that includes content on Vietnamese history, politics, literature or culture, and the Pitzer Sakai course Intercultural Learning: Portfolio Writing.

Credit Possible
Students are expected to take 15-16 course credits in order to earn four course credits at Pitzer. In addition, students will earn 0.5 Pitzer course credits for the Sakai course. See above under Required Courses.
Housing and Board Options
Pitzer students are required to live in a host family when offered. Students receive a housing and meal stipend by ISEP.
Advising notes
Chance of placement on ISEP Exchange is generally good. Business, Biotechnology, and Engineering are particularly strong fields.
