Campus Safety – Has portable AEDs and can respond via golf cart/car.
First Aid kits are located at the same locations as AEDs (see above), as well as The Office of Student Affairs in Scott Hall 120.
Campus Safety is a shared Claremont Colleges resource and offers a wide variety of resources and services such as:

Incident & Emergency Response | Including maintaining blue light phones throughout campus, communication with CPD, active assailant trainings, as well as First Aid, AED and Naloxone (NARCAN) response

Safety Escorts @ the Claremont Colleges | Safety Escorts can be made by calling Campus Safety’s 24-hour Dispatch Center at 909-607-2000.

Crime Prevention | Including options for bike and device registration.

LiveSafe App | Helps members of The Claremont Colleges find resources and information as well as communicate suspicious or hazardous activities to Campus Safety.

Regular Safety Walks | On-campus, as well as staffing at special events.
Everbridge is an emergency notification service available to students, faculty, and staff. Everbridge can be used to send emergency messages within minutes of the occurrence of an incident. Pitzer College performs a College-wide annual test of the Everbridge system.

During business hours, contact Student Health Services (SHS) for assessment/an appointment.

After business hours, for all types of accidents/injuries, we highly recommend contacting Campus Safety directly to ensure all level of incidents will be responded to, documented, and communicated to on-call staff.

Worker’s Comp Related Accident or Injury | Workers Comp is for anyone (faculty, staff, student-staff) who is providing a service for the employer (Pitzer) and are being compensated to do so. All worker’s comp related issues should be communicated to your supervisor and Human Resources.

What is a Dean On-Call? And how do I contact them?  
Deans On-Call are Student Affairs staff members with responsibilities for responding to emergent student situations, afterhours response, and addressing student conduct concerns. There is a Pitzer Dean On-Call 24/7/365 and they can be reached by calling Campus Safety (909-607-2000) and asking for the Pitzer Dean On-Call.  
Live-On Staff are Student Affairs staff members who live in campus housing and can respond in-person to support students. They can be reached by calling Campus Safety (909-607-2000) and asking for the Pitzer Live-On Staff On-Call. 
RAs are student staff members who live in campus housing and have after hours on-call responsibilities to support students. This includes conducting duty walks in campus housing, staffing the Residence Life Office, facilitating lockouts, addressing conduct issues, and responding to crisis.  

RAs are on-call during the academic year Sunday-Thursday 9pm to midnight and Friday and Saturdays 9pm-2pm.

NOTE: RAs are only on duty for main campus. CCA residents can get support directly through Campus Safety.

QUIET HOURS
Residence halls have quiet hours from 11pm to 9am on Sundays through Thursdays, and 1am to 9am on weekends.
We have 24-hour courtesy hours, which means regardless of the time or day, if you are disturbing your neighbor with your noise and are asked politely to quiet down, please comply.
Work Orders/Facilities Issues
If something  is in need of repair, please fill out a work order online or call Facilities if the issue is emergent.  After hours, call Campus Safety for any emergency work order.

Work Orders for Pitzer@CCA Residents:
Pitzer students living at the Claremont Collegiate Apartments (CCA) will use the CCA management’s Work Order website to submit work requests. Please follow the instructions below:

Login under “User Log In” using your CCA Resident Portal Login (NOTE: This is different than your Pitzer login info)
Click the “Maintenance” tab across the top > “Submit a Work Order” button on the left > complete the form. Please submit details of the location, problem, description, entry notes, and attach a photo.

Pomona Wellness Vending Machine
Student Health Services Wellness Room at Pomona College can be found in Walker Hall, Room 204. The Wellness Room is open to all students of The Claremont Colleges 24/7 during the school year and houses a vending machine carrying EContra EZ emergency contraception pill, various medical/personal supplies, and various health and wellness educational materials.

Emergency/Missing Persons Contact Information | Students are also required to update their emergency contact and missing persons contact information on their MyCampus2 Portal. Once logged in, click “Student” on grey navigation bar at the top of the page, then click “Pitzer Student Info” and scroll down to “Missing Persons/Emergency Contacts Info” to update this information. Emergency contact information may be used to facilitate contact tracing efforts if students do not reply to direct outreach to the contact phone numbers on file with the College.

Off-Campus Address Disclosure | Off-campus students are required to update their contact information and physical address each year on their Residence portal.

Medical Amnesty Policy
Students are encouraged to seek immediate and appropriate assistance and medical attention in alcohol or drug related emergencies. Students that experience alcohol and/or drug related hospitalization will not be subject to punitive measures; this does not preclude educational or rehabilitative measures. Students who appropriately and cooperatively assist another student in receiving medical attention will not be subject to disciplinary proceedings for their actions; this does not preclude educational or rehabilitative measures.

Student Insurance Plans | Pitzer College requires that all enrolled students have comprehensive medical insurance that is accessible in Claremont and comparable to the Claremont Colleges health insurance plan. At The Claremont Colleges, we offer Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), which many students have found valuable.

Each Pitzer student receives 2 free lockouts per year per student from ResLife.  Additional lockouts are $10 each.​

There is no charge for lockouts handled by the Campus Safety Pitzer Dedicated Officer between 11:00pm and 3:00am (academic year only). All other lockouts handled by Campus Safety are $25 each (charged to student account).  ​
